An abaya built like an heirloom.
1Meet the Founder
Saga Abaya carries my name because this house answers to me directly: every colour of thread, every hand that stitches it, every piece that leaves the studio. I started it with Hafeez because embroidery like this, done properly, takes real time and real people, and because I wanted a place where a woman could choose shine and elegance in modest dress every day, not just for an occasion. That's still the whole idea.
2Our Vision
Saga Abaya is an embroidery-led abaya house for anyone who loves shine and elegance in modest dress. Every piece is designed for everyday life, including work: most women in Europe don't yet wear an abaya to the office, and changing that, one hand-finished piece at a time, is a big part of why we started.
We hold to two disciplines at once: heritage embroidery worked the traditional way, and construction precise enough to survive a two-kilogram pull test on every hand-set mirror and bead. Quiet luxury, checked twice.
3On Empowerment
Modest doesn't have to mean quiet. We want every woman who wears a Saga piece to feel confident wearing it anywhere she chooses, including to work and not only on occasions, and to be seen exactly the way she wants to be seen while still dressing modestly. That's the standard we design to, piece by piece.
4Welcome to Saga Abaya
Each run is small and numbered on purpose. A garment this hand-worked doesn't scale, and we've chosen not to make it; better a waiting list than a shortcut on the embroidery.
So: welcome to Saga Abaya. If you're new here, this is a small, embroidery-led house that makes two silhouettes at a time, on purpose, and would rather keep you waiting for the right piece than rush one out the door. Not Ordinary: that's the idea, and it's also just the truth of how we work.
